The Challenge
Fantronics needed a robust web platform to power their Skorboard device. Sports fans were frustrated with missed goals, interrupted excitement, and blackout restrictions when watching games at home. The platform had to deliver real-time sports data reliably to thousands of concurrent users while maintaining premium data quality used by professional stadiums.
My Solution
I developed the complete Skorboard website for Fantronics with real-time match data and live stream integration capabilities. The platform features a responsive web interface built with Next.js and React, connected to real-time WebSocket servers that deliver live score updates with minimal latency. I architected a scalable Node.js/Express backend to handle thousands of concurrent users streaming live game data, integrated MongoDB for efficient data management, and implemented premium sports data feeds. The system provides authentic jumbotron displays with customizable themes, goal horn triggers, and LED integration capabilities—all accessible through an intuitive web interface that works seamlessly across all devices while maintaining 99.9% uptime.
